 
                                    On December 11th, the N Foundation proudly celebrated International Mountain Day in the Kilimanjaro region at Rau River Mwasi-Southern-Mamboleo. The event, graced by the presence of Moshi District Commissioner James Kaji as the Guest of Honor, emphasized the critical role of mountains in ecosystems and livelihoods. The celebration brought together diverse stakeholders, including Bonnite Bottles, UTT-AMIS, Pangani River Basin Authority, Tanzania Forest Services (TFS), Zara Tours, Shah Tours, and prominent media outlets like ITV, Cloud Media, and TBC. Local businesses, such as Equity Bank and NSSF, also participated, showcasing a united front in advocating for sustainable mountain conservation.
Activities included a community hike and cleanup drive that restored the natural beauty of the area, educational workshops on climate change and water security, and a tree-planting initiative to combat soil erosion and promote biodiversity. Additionally, the Foundation’s social media campaign, featuring hashtags like #MountainsMatter, garnered significant engagement through inspiring stories and a photo contest. The day concluded with a vibrant community gathering, where traditional music and cultural performances celebrated the heritage of mountain communities. Moving forward, the N Foundation remains committed to expanding reforestation programs, fostering partnerships, and advocating for policies that prioritize mountain conservation, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
