Mount Kilimanjaro, enshrined in our collective memory through its iconic cap of glaciers and the fact that it's the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world, could soon change drastically. Scientific research estimates that its ice could be gone entirely by 2040, leading to a reduction in tourism, water shortages and food shortages. Nessa is working with the communities in districts surrounding the mountain to plant trees to restore the environment around the mountain.
